Belt Tensioner

Grazing through my archive of Projects in Metal, I spotted this project in the April 1991 issue of the magazine. It is titled "A Universal Belt Tensioner" and written by D. E. Johnson. It looked like a handy tool to have in my box, so I built myself one. I don't get much practice at silver brazing, so one end looks a bit messy due to an over abundance of silver solder. The right end looks much better after having practiced on the left one.

The assembled tensioner with extension tubes. Disassembled to show the 3 main pieces.
