Mill Indicator Holder

This was about a 6 hour project from James Hauser in the Feb/Mar 2004 Machinist Workshop magazine. This was on the large size for my small Emco-Maier FB2 Mill, so I reduced a few sizes here and there to suit. My collet shank sizes were reduced to .250"-.375"-.500" and the main body reduced to .625" x .75" with a .625" main bolt. I used a .375" x 6" main beam and reduced the nut sizes to match. I made a .234" cross hole in the main beam to accomodate my Fowler test indicator shank.

The 6 parts that make up the holder. Assembled for use.
