Heavy Duty Steel Bench

Features a 10-gauge stainless steel work surface and Durham small parts storage units with removable drawers. The large 3' by 6' foot work surface allows space for the usual odds and ends plus ample space for the project at hand. An overhead shelf provides additional storage and supports a 4 foot flourescent fixture for excellent lighting. The leg and lower cross brace members are fabricated from discarded rails used for storing large carpet rolls. The top frame is fabricated from 2" x 2" x 1/4" angle. Two layers of 3/4" plywood are used as filler under the stainless top. This leaves a 1/8" raised edge to prevent parts from rolling off.
